The government of Andhra Pradesh is set to introduce the AP Cattle Health Card Scheme 2026. Through this initiative, the YSR administration will issue official Cattle Health Cards to all qualifying residents. Families identified during the Livestock Census are eligible to apply for these cards. The state government has sanctioned Rs. 50 crore for the YSR Pasu Nasta Parihara Padakam, a key program focused on providing compensation for livestock mortality (LLCS).

This program will be facilitated by village volunteers stationed at Rythu Bharosa Kendras throughout the state. The scheme covers essential veterinary services, including de-worming, breeding support, brucellosis vaccinations, control of foot and mouth disease, management of enterotoxemia (ETD), and specialized sheep care packages.

What is the Andhra Pradesh Cattle Health Card Scheme

Under the new initiative, vaccinations and de-worming sessions will occur twice annually across the state. Animal Health cards will be distributed to farmers to help track livestock records and improve access to veterinary services.
