The AP YSR Aarogyasri Scheme 2026 has been implemented statewide by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Andhra Pradesh YSR Arogyasri initiative is designed to provide high-quality medical services to underprivileged citizens. Formerly known as the NTR Vaidya Seva Yojana, the program was rebranded as the Dr. YSR Aarogyasri Scheme 2026. This initiative offers universal health coverage to families in lower and middle-income brackets, and its official portal is ysraarogyasri.ap.gov.in. Furthermore, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state government has included coronavirus treatment under this healthcare coverage.

AP YSR Aarogyasri Scheme 2026

Previously active in 7 districts, the AP YSR Aarogyasri Scheme 2026 has now been expanded to encompass the remaining 6 districts. The enhanced version of the scheme covers 2,434 medical treatments, following the addition of 234 procedures to the original 2,200. Additionally, the medical insurance plan covers hospitalization expenses exceeding Rs. 1,000.

Expansion of YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Across All AP Districts

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy noted that the updated AP YSR Aarogyasri Scheme was initially piloted in West Godavari. Following its success, it was extended to 6 districts and is now being implemented in Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna, Nellore, Chittoor, and Ananthapur.

According to official reports, the scheme aims to support over 1.42 crore families. Residents with an annual household income under Rs. 5 lakh are eligible for coverage. Furthermore, any medical procedure costing more than Rs. 1,000 is fully covered under the policy.

Application Form for AP YSR Aarogyasri Health Card

In a review meeting regarding healthcare reforms, CM Jagan discussed improving infrastructure and facilities at state-run hospitals.
