The Andhra Pradesh government has disbursed Rs. 913 crore to the bank accounts of beneficiaries under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme for 2026. Through this initiative, the state provides financial aid to students in ITI, Polytechnic, and Degree programs to cover their hostel and mess expenses. Additionally, the AP government will soon distribute funds for two other major initiatives: the Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme and the YSR Kapu Nestam Scheme. This program is designed to boost Gross Enrolment Rates (GER), ensure access to quality higher education, support student retention in academic streams, and build essential professional skills.

Financial support is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Over 9.5 lakh mothers have already received benefits through the Vasathi Deevena Scheme. Under this initiative, the AP government provides designated funds in equal installments. The Chief Minister noted that Rs. 4,276 crore has been invested in this specific scheme since the YSRCP government took office.
