The Andhra Pradesh administration launched the 2026 AP Surya Shakti Scheme to offer financial subsidies for residential rooftop solar panel installations. Through this initiative, the state government facilitates the setup of subsidized solar systems for households across Andhra Pradesh.
Domestic power consumers classified under 1A and 1B are eligible to install photovoltaic (PV) solar systems through the AP Surya Sakthi Yojana for residential use. Interested residents can complete their AP Surya Shakti Scheme registration at local MeeSeva centers to access these incentives.
Participants are permitted to sell excess electricity generated by these subsidized units back to the utility company after fulfilling their own household requirements. While the market value of a typical rooftop solar unit is approximately Rs. 60,000, eligible consumers receive them for just Rs. 10,000. To secure these benefits, applicants must finish the AP Surya Shakti Scheme registration process before the official deadline.
