The total premium expenditure is expected to rise as more beneficiaries join the YSR Bheema Scheme in the coming days. The Andhra Pradesh government will settle the premium payments once the bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries are activated.

The state government, led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has made a significant decision to extend insurance benefits to families of breadwinners who passed away, even if they were not officially enrolled in the scheme. Category Wise Insurance Coverage
Below are the details regarding insurance coverage categories for the AP YSR Bheema Scheme 2026:
- Individuals aged 18 to 50 are eligible for Rs. 5 lakh in coverage for accidental death or permanent disability.
- Individuals aged 51 to 70 are eligible for Rs. 3 lakh in coverage for accidental death or permanent disability.
- Families of those aged 18 to 50 will receive Rs. 2 lakh in the event of natural death.
- Beneficiaries aged 18 to 70 receive Rs. 1.5 lakh for partial permanent disability resulting from an accident.
The government of Andhra Pradesh guarantees that claims will be processed and funds deposited into the designated bank accounts within 15 days of filing.
