In his first and second terms, the central Government led by Narendra Modi has introduced numerous new social welfare schemes, initiatives, and policies aimed at improving the nation and its citizens. Since assuming office in May 2014, several welfare programs, including the widely recognized Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, and the Smart City Mission, have been launched.

We present here a comprehensive list of over 240 significant initiatives, policies, web portals, and schemes launched by the Narendra Modi Government as of February 2022, based on our knowledge and research.

The schemes introduced by the Narendra Modi government in 2022, 2021, 2020, and previous years also encompass schemes from earlier administrations that have undergone renaming, amendments, or both. Every scheme listed under Pradhan Mantri Yojana offers benefits to the general public of India in some capacity. Some schemes within this Sarkari Yojana list are still under consideration or in the planning phase and have not yet been launched.

  1. Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme
    Launched: 10 August 2020
    Main Objective: Rs. 1 lakh crore financial facility for agri-entrepreneurs, startups, agri-tech players and farmer groups for post-harvest management and nurturing farm assets.
    The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund scheme is aimed at enabling the farmers to get greater value for their produce as they will be able to store and sell at higher prices, reduce wastage, and increase processing and value addition. A loan of up to Rs. 2 Crore will be provided under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. Under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, the central government would bear about 3% interest subsidy per annum on the loans provided.

  2. e-Shram Portal
    Launched: 26 August 2021
    Main Objective: For registration of unorganised sector workers
    To assist the unorganised sector, the Government of India launched a new scheme named the E-SHRAM Portal Scheme for the welfare of unorganised sector workers and laborers. The central government has rolled out a national database for unorganised workers for the overall welfare of crores of these workers in the country. The Ministry of Labour & Employment will provide the Unique Identification Number (UAN) Card to all applicants of the e-Shram Portal. As per the information available on the official website, over 12 crore people have registered on this portal so far.

  3. PM e-Vidya Yojana
    Launched: 17 May 2020
    Main Objective: To unify all efforts related to digital/online/on-air education to enable multi-mode access to education
    A comprehensive initiative named PM e-VIDYA Yojana has been launched, unifying all efforts related to digital/online/on-air education to enable multi-mode access to education. This initiative will benefit approximately 25 crore school-going children across the country.
