The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is currently accepting online applications to grant legal property rights to residents living in Delhi's unauthorized colonies. Interested individuals can complete the PM-UDAY Scheme registration and application process for 2026 by visiting pmuday.ncog.gov.in. The full title of the initiative is the Pradhan Mantri - Unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana. Residents seeking to formalize the registry of their properties in these areas are encouraged to submit their applications through the official portal.
Through the PM-UDAY Yojana 2026, inhabitants of unauthorized settlements will receive official ownership titles. A dedicated online platform is available to facilitate the registration of these homes. Applicants can submit their forms and secure their registry documents by paying a nominal processing fee. Previous estimates indicate that approximately 4 million residents living in these colonies stand to benefit from gaining legal ownership of their homes.
Furthermore, once the registry is complete, property owners will be eligible to apply for loans against their houses or flats. This is a significant initiative, as it impacts nearly 20% of Delhi's population, with the government having already processed 50% of the registry applications to date.
