The Haryana government is set to introduce a new Kisan Mitra Yojana for agriculturalists owning a maximum of 2 acres of land. Under this program, "Kisan Mitras" will assist farmers in accessing various existing government welfare initiatives. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has instructed officials to expedite the development of this scheme.

The Kisan Mitra initiative will connect government representatives, progressive farmers, and volunteers to support the farming community. The goal is to boost agricultural yields through improved financial management and the adoption of modern technology. Additionally, the state government is prioritizing the rapid rollout of the Pashudhan Credit Card scheme, modeled after the Kisan Credit Card (KCC).

These livestock credit cards are designed to increase milk production, aiming to make Haryana a national leader in per capita output. CM Khattar issued these directives while leading a review session for the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department on June 6, 2020.

To inspire small-scale farmers through the guidance of progressive agriculturalists, the 'Kisan Mitra' program will be launched, providing support to those involved in farming, dairy, horticulture, and related sectors.
