The fourth phase of the AP Jagananna Thodu Scheme was officially inaugurated on 3 August 2022. The Andhra Pradesh government originally launched the Jagananna Thodu Scheme on 25 November 2020. Through this initiative, the state provides identification cards and a working capital loan of Rs. 10,000 to eligible street vendors. Interested vendors can now register online for the AP Jagananna Thodu Scheme 2026, access their accounts, verify their eligibility, and track payment status. This program is modeled after the central government's PM Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme, and this guide covers all essential details.

AP Jagananna Thodu 4th Phase Update

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed Rs. 395 crores to 3.95 lakh beneficiaries under the Jagananna Thodu scheme on 3 August 2022, along with Rs. 15.96 crore in interest payments. The Chief Minister’s Office reported that the scheme grants Rs. 10,000 to small-scale traders, street vendors, and artisans. To date, the state has disbursed Rs. 2,011 crores to over 15 lakh families to foster self-employment opportunities.

Vendors operating on pavements, in small stalls, or with pushcarts contribute significantly to local employment and social progress. The Chief Minister emphasized that he recognized the hardships faced by these individuals who were previously burdened by high-interest loans from moneylenders. The Jagananna Thodu scheme was created to fulfill his commitment to supporting these entrepreneurs with Rs. 10,000 in capital.

For those who maintain timely loan repayments, the government covers the interest costs, with Rs. 48.48 crore already reimbursed to 12.50 lakh families. This latest installment includes Rs. 15.96 crore in interest relief. The CM noted that the new list adds 3.95 lakh beneficiaries, with 80% being women from SC, ST, BC, and minority communities, highlighting the scheme's role in socio-economic empowerment.
