The scheme provides a life cover of Rs. 2 lakhs for a one-year term, from June 1st to May 31st, with the option for renewal. In the event of the insured's death due to any cause, the risk coverage under this scheme is Rs. 2 Lakhs.
The annual premium is Rs. 436 (effective June 1, 2022), which is automatically debited in a single installment from the subscriber's bank account, as per their authorization, on or before May 31st of each annual coverage period. Previously, the premium was Rs. 330 per annum, which has now been revised to Rs. 436 per annum. The scheme is facilitated by the Life Insurance Corporation and other life insurers who agree to offer the product under similar terms, with necessary approvals and tie-ups with banks.
