Jammu and Kashmir authorities are inviting digital applications for the Domicile Certificate via jk.gov.in/jkeservices/. The Union Territory government initiated the distribution of these certificates to local residents on 27 June 2020. Under the J&K Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules 2020, individuals residing in Jammu and Kashmir for over 15 years are eligible to apply. Interested citizens can now register and submit their Jammu & Kashmir Domicile Certificate Online Application Form for 2026.
Children of West Pakistan refugees, Valmikis, displaced persons, PoK families, Kashmiri migrants residing outside the UT, long-term residents of 15 years, and dependents of Central government employees are now eligible for domicile status. This certificate is essential for applying to government positions within J&K.
In accordance with the 2020 Domicile Act, various sections of the J&K population who have lived in the Union Territory for the past seven decades but were previously denied citizenship rights are now entitled to receive a domicile certificate.

STEP 1: Navigate to the official portal at https://www.jk.gov.in/jkeservices/home. The Jammu and Kashmir e-Services dashboard will be displayed.
