The West Bengal administration is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Manabik Prakalpa Scheme. Through this disability pension initiative, the state government provides a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 to individuals living with disabilities (PWDs). Eligible citizens can obtain the official application form in PDF format via the birbhum.gov.in portal. Those interested may apply for this disability pension program in West Bengal. Originally introduced in 2018, the Manabik scheme is designed to support approximately 2 lakh differently-abled residents.
Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Chief Minister confirmed that residents with a disability certification of 40% or higher are eligible for this monthly stipend of Rs. 1,000. The state government has earmarked Rs. 250 crore to ensure the effective delivery of the Manabik Prakalpa Scheme.
