The Haryana administration is now accepting online applications for the 2026 Media Person Pension Scheme via saralharyana.gov.in. Through this initiative, the state provides a monthly financial aid of Rs. 10,000 to media professionals employed by daily, evening, weekly, and monthly newspapers, as well as news agencies, radio stations, and television channels. Journalists can now verify their qualification status and submit their applications through the Antyodaya Saral Haryana Portal.

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar introduced this monthly pension program for media members. To commemorate the official launch, he distributed pension cheques of Rs. 10,000 to nine journalists. The announcement of this support scheme for veteran media professionals was originally made by the CM during the "Swarna Jayanti Journalist’s Meet" held in Panchkula.
