The Meghalaya government has inaugurated the official website for the Employees State Insurance (ESI) Scheme, accessible at megesis.nic.in. Through the Employees State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), the labour department delivers social security and healthcare services to all ESI-covered workers in the state. Since many laborers, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, remain unaware of these ESIC protections, the state government has introduced this dedicated ESI Scheme portal at megesis.nic.in to improve accessibility.

There is a pressing need to increase awareness and share information regarding the Employees State Insurance Scheme (ESIS). This comprehensive social security program supports the welfare of the working class and vulnerable members of society. Those enrolled in the Meghalaya ESIS can access two primary categories of assistance: Cash Benefits and Medical Benefits.
