The Government of Odisha has introduced the Mo Bidyut web portal at mobidyut.com and a mobile application to streamline electricity services for citizens. Odisha’s power distribution utilities (TPCODL, NESCO, WESCO, and SOUTHCO) are now integrated into the state's 5T governance framework. Through the Mo Bidyut platform, residents can request new electricity connections, settle utility bills, and register complaints online. Eligible applicants can now secure a new power connection within just 48 hours across the state.

By submitting an application via the Mo Bidyut website or mobile app, users can receive a permanent single-phase electricity connection for loads up to 5KW. Approved connections are provided within 48 hours, provided the application and payment are submitted correctly and meet the following criteria:
- There are no Right of Way (RoW) conflicts.
- The property is located within 30 meters of the utility’s nearest connection point.
- The applicant submits all required authentic documentation.
- The applicant has no outstanding dues with any utility as per clause 17 of the OERC Code 2019.
