MSP For Kharif Crops 2022-23: Central government leadership under PM Narendra Modi has achieved a significant milestone by increasing the minimum support prices for Kharif agricultural produce. Farmers will now receive higher MSP rates for commodities including wheat, paddy, arhar dal, moong dal, cotton, and various other crops for the 2022-23 Kharif season. Citizens can now review the updated Kharif MSP 2022-23 for all primary crops.
In the most recent CCEA session, the MSP for Paddy was raised by Rs. 100 per quintal, Jowar by Rs. 232 per quintal, and Ragi by Rs. 201 per quintal. Support prices for Tur, Moong, and Urad pulses saw increases of Rs. 300, Rs. 480, and Rs. 300 respectively. Groundnut MSP rose by Rs. 300, while Soyabean saw a hike of Rs. 350 per quintal. Additionally, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs under PM Modi increased the Cotton MSP by Rs. 354 per quintal.

The updated MSP for Kharif produce is determined by evaluating all production expenditures. This includes costs for hired manual labor, animal or machine power, land lease rentals, material inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, manure, irrigation fees, equipment and building depreciation, working capital interest, fuel/electricity for pumps, miscellaneous costs, and the estimated value of family labor.
