The Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana is a health initiative operated by the Women and Child Development Department of the Chhattisgarh Government. This program commenced in the state in 2009. Its primary aim is to offer health assessments and medical guidance to children experiencing severe malnutrition and other critical health issues. Within this scheme, a two-day "Sandarbh Diwas" is organized in every development block for the health evaluation of eligible children. Such check-ups would typically cost up to Rs. 300 in private healthcare facilities.
According to recent data released by the department, the program has successfully aided over 8 Lakh children across the state in the past 7 years. A total of 8,35,539 children have received these health services between the financial years 2012-13 and 2018-19.
Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री बाल संदर्भ योजना) 2026
The Chief Minister's Child Reference Scheme was introduced in the year 2009. The program is being implemented to reduce the rate of malnutrition by helping severely malnourished children overcome the cycle of malnutrition. Under the scheme, critically malnourished and at-risk children are provided with medical examination facilities, prescribed medications, and specialist pediatric consultations as needed.
- Efforts are made to designate two days per month in each development block as "Sandarbh Diwas".
- Identification of infections in children.
- Arrangement for health check-ups up to a maximum of Rs. 300 in private medical institutions.
- A beneficiary can receive medicines up to Rs. 500 annually, and if necessary, with the consultation of a medical officer, medicines exceeding this amount can also be provided.
- A provision of Rs. 1000 as honorarium and up to Rs. 500 for travel expenses is made for private pediatric specialists' services.
- Additionally, from the year 2016-17, Anganwadi workers have been provided with funds for the transportation of malnourished children if required.

Under the Mukhyamantri Bal Sandarbh Yojana, the government also provides medicines costing up to Rs. 500 to each beneficiary child as per the requirement and after the consultation by the medical officer.
