Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana (Chief Minister’s Farmer Assistance Scheme) 2026 is a fresh crop protection initiative introduced by the Gujarat state administration to support agricultural workers throughout the region. This program was unveiled by the Chief Minister of Gujarat on August 10, 2020, to offer monetary relief of up to Rs. 25,000 per hectare for farmers experiencing crop failure.
This innovative insurance program, known as the "Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana," is designed to assist farmers during periods of crop destruction resulting from natural disasters or unpredictable rainfall patterns during the Kharif season. Farmers in Gujarat frequently suffer financial hardships due to inconsistent monsoon rains, particularly during the Kharif period.
The advantages of the Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana will extend to approximately 56 lakh farmers across the state. Importantly, farmers are not required to pay any insurance premiums to access these benefits.
Gujarat Chief Minister Kisan Sahay Yojana (MMKSY) 2026
Unlike the central government's PM Fasal Bima Yojana, which requires farmers to contribute a premium for crop protection, the Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana offers comprehensive insurance coverage without any financial burden on the farmers.
