NSP Pre-Matric Disability Scholarship Registration at scholarships.gov.in: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) is now accepting online applications for the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Disabled Students for the 2026 academic year. Through this initiative, the central government offers financial support, including maintenance allowances, book grants, and disability-related aid for eligible students. Students with disabilities currently enrolled in classes 9 and 10 can submit their applications via the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in. The deadline for online submissions is 30 November 2023.
For the 2026 session, the government has allocated over 25,000 Pre-Matric scholarships, which includes both new and renewal applications. This program aims to lower student dropout rates up to the secondary level (Class 10). The 2026 Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is designed to empower students with physical disabilities, helping them live with independence, develop their skills, and support their future livelihoods.
All eligible students in grades 9 and 10 are encouraged to apply online for the disability scholarship before the closing date.
