Students can now submit applications and track their status online, while noting the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) requirement introduced via the National Scholarship Portal.
Starting this year, students from ST, SC, OBC/SEBC, and EBC categories applying for Post-Matric scholarships must first register for an OTR number on scholarships.gov.in and input it into the Odisha portal. Funds are disbursed directly to student bank accounts using the IFMS, ensuring faster delivery and greater transparency.

The portal utilizes Aadhaar-based authentication and links with systems like SAMS, e-District, BSE, and the State Treasury to minimize duplicate submissions and streamline verification. Annually, more than 11 lakh students from marginalized communities receive support through this platform.
How to Apply Online & Track Status
STEP 1: Visit scholarship.odisha.gov.in and click on Register in the Student Login section if you are a first-time applicant. Returning users can proceed to Login.
STEP 2: Provide your Aadhaar number to begin, then fill in your personal information to create your account.
STEP 3: Obtain your OTR from scholarships.gov.in and enter this reference code into the Odisha portal when prompted.
STEP 4: Log in to scholarship.odisha.gov.in using your credentials.
STEP 5: Select the relevant department and scholarship scheme.
STEP 6: Input your academic, personal, and banking information accurately.
STEP 7: Save your entry as a draft for later review or click "Next" to move forward.
