Why the Pauni Pasari Scheme is Necessary

Modern markets are currently saturated with machine-made goods, often overshadowing the intricate work of skilled artisans. Historically, these talented craftsmen provided essential services, but the rise of mass-produced technology has severely impacted their financial stability. Recognizing their long-standing contribution to society, the Chhattisgarh government has reintroduced this scheme to restore the economic dignity of these traditional workers.

The traditional Pauni Pasari system is a vital part of Chhattisgarh's cultural heritage that has faced decline in the modern era. Historically, this model served as the backbone of both rural and urban economies, providing livelihoods for generations. By restarting this initiative in 2026, the state government aims to preserve these essential services and provide a structured platform for artisans to thrive in today's economy.
