Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana (PMASBY) on October 25 in his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. During the event, the PM also inaugurated 9 medical colleges in Siddharthnagar and launched 30 additional projects worth Rs. 5,000 crore, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in attendance.
