PM SVANidhi Scheme 2026 has been extended and updated by Government of India to give stronger financial support to street vendors across cities and towns. Registration and loan support has now been continued under the restructured PM SVANidhi 2.0 scheme, which now runs till 31 March 2030.

Under this updated scheme, street vendors will get working capital loans, UPI linked RuPay credit card, digital payment rewards, and training support. Government has set a total budget of ₹7,332 crore and expects around 1.15 crore vendors to benefit during the extended phase.

PM SVANidhi scheme was originally started in June 2020 to help vendors restart their small businesses after the COVID lock-down. With the new extension, the scheme now focuses on financial inclusion, digital payments, business growth, and linking vendors with other welfare schemes.

PM SVANidhi Scheme 2026 Loan and Credit Card Online Application

Street vendors can apply online for working capital loan or RuPay credit card through PM SVANidhi official portal. The process is simple and completely online through pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in portal.

STEP 1: Open PM SVANidhi official website pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in and go to the homepage.

STEP 2: On the homepage, click on the option "Apply LoR cum Loan" or the "Credit Card Application" option available for vendors.

STEP 3: On the next page, enter Aadhaar number and mobile number, then complete OTP verification to start the application.

STEP 4: Fill personal details such as name, address, vending location, business type, and bank account details.

STEP 5: Upload required documents like Aadhaar card and vending certificate or Letter of Recommendation issued by Urban Local Body.

STEP 6: Review all details carefully and submit the online application form.

STEP 7: After submission, the application will be forwarded to banks or lending institutions for verification and loan approval.

Applicants can also apply for the RuPay credit card through the same portal after becoming eligible.

PM SVANidhi Loan Amount Structure

Street vendors receive working capital loan in three stages. If repayment happens on time, the next loan amount becomes available.

  • First loan: Street vendors can receive up to ₹15,000 as working capital loan. The loan must be repaid within 12 months.
  • Second loan: Vendors who repay the first loan on time can receive up to ₹25,000 loan. Repayment period is 18 months.
  • Third loan: Vendors who maintain good repayment history can get up to ₹50,000 loan with a repayment period of 36 months.

The loans remain collateral free and government also provides interest subsidy support to borrowers. Vendors get 7 percent interest subsidy which is transferred directly to their bank accounts every quarter.

PM SVANidhi Credit Card Facility

PM SVANidhi 2.0 adds a new RuPay credit card facility for street vendors who successfully repay their loans. The card provides flexible access to credit for both business and daily expenses.

The credit card is UPI linked and works like a revolving credit facility. After repayment, the available credit limit becomes usable again.

Main features of PM SVANidhi credit card include:

  • Credit limit up to ₹30,000, starting initially from ₹10,000 and increasing gradually based on card usage and repayment record.
  • Interest free credit period of around 20 to 50 days depending on card issuer policy.
  • Card validity for five years from the date of issue.
  • Lifetime free card with no joining fee or annual charges.
  • UPI linkage allowing vendors to make payments using apps like BHIM, Paytm or PhonePe.

The card cannot be used for ATM cash withdrawal or international transactions and certain categories like gambling or liquor purchases are restricted.

Eligibility for PM SVANidhi Scheme 2026

Street vendors working in urban areas, census towns, and peri urban areas can apply under this scheme. Eligibility mainly depends on vending activity and identification by local authorities.

  • Street vendors selling goods or services in public places, streets, footpaths, markets or mobile vending locations.
  • Vendors holding Certificate of Vending issued by Town Vending Committee or Urban Local Body.
  • Vendors having Identity Card or Letter of Recommendation issued by local authority.
