Assam Pragyan Bharati Scheme 2026: The Assam state government is fulfilling its commitment to enhance the welfare of its residents, with a special focus on young female students. Through the Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme 2026, the administration aims to honor high-achieving girl students by awarding them a scooter, thereby fostering their pursuit of higher education and encouraging personal autonomy.

The Finance Minister of Assam previously introduced this initiative as one of the 18 key projects in the state budget for FY 2021-22. This comprehensive program includes waivers for admission fees, free textbooks, and relief on hostel mess expenses. Additionally, the scheme covers textbook assistance for undergraduate and postgraduate students, a one-time education loan subsidy, and the provision of scooters to female students.

Meritorious female students who have completed Class 12 in Assam are eligible to receive these scooters. The Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme is widely regarded as a premier initiative for students pursuing undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) degrees. Below, we outline the key features and highlights of this program.
