The state administration is offering solar-powered pump sets to support agricultural and irrigation needs. Under this initiative, the government provides 90% financial aid to small and marginal farmers for pump acquisitions, while individual medium and large-scale farmers receive an 80% subsidy.
Solar Irrigation Scheme - Saur Sinchai Yojana 2026
Groups of small and marginal farmers, as well as registered agricultural associations, are eligible for 100% financial support. The program aims to distribute 5,850 solar pump units. Additionally, the state government is launching a Flow Irrigation Project with a budget of 174 crore.
The HP Solar Irrigation initiative aims to provide water access to over 7,152 hectares of farmland. Its primary goal is to boost agricultural and horticultural productivity to help double farmers' income.
