The West Bengal government is accepting applications for the Nijashree Housing Scheme via wbhousing.gov.in, offering 1 BHK and 2 BHK apartments to economically weaker sections. Individuals in the Lower Income Group (LIG) earning under Rs. 15,000 monthly and the Middle Income Group (MIG) earning under Rs. 30,000 monthly are eligible to apply for the Nijoshree Prokolpo initiative. The state has dedicated Rs. 3000 crore for the development of these residential properties.

The Nijashree program is exclusively for residents whose monthly household income does not exceed Rs. 30,000. The government plans to allot approximately 5,000 flats to LIG and MIG beneficiaries over the next 2 to 3 years. Applicants can submit their forms for the Nijoshree Prokolpo Housing Scheme in accordance with the specified application windows.

Eligible LIG residents in West Bengal can apply for 1 BHK units (378 sq. ft.) priced at Rs. 7.82 lakh, while MIG residents can opt for 2 BHK units (559 sq. ft.) priced at Rs. 9.26 lakh.
