The Gujarat state government has introduced the Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana 2026 to offer collateral-free loans of Rs. 1 lakh at a 2% interest rate. This initiative serves as a financial support system, backed by a Rs. 5000 crore package, designed for small business owners, skilled professionals, auto-rickshaw operators, electricians, and others whose livelihoods were impacted by economic disruptions.
Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana 2026 Online Application
To support small business owners, the Gujarat government covers an additional 6% interest on loans issued through the AGSY scheme. This program allows individuals in the lower-middle-income bracket to secure a guarantee-free loan of up to Rs. 1 lakh. By charging only 2% interest to the borrower, the government aims to help citizens recover from economic setbacks caused by the pandemic, with the state covering the remaining interest burden for the banks.
Registration and Application Process
Application forms for the Rs. 1 lakh loan under the "Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana" are provided at no cost through all branches of district cooperative banks, urban cooperative banks, and credit societies across the state.
