The MP government introduced the Jeevan Shakti Scheme as part of mandatory measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched this initiative to empower women in urban areas, allowing them to earn a livelihood by crafting face masks.
The state government provides a payment of Rs. 11 for every mask produced under this Women’s Mask Scheme, with funds deposited directly into the beneficiary's bank account. This allows women to earn an income while contributing to the public health fight against Coronavirus.
