The MP Prakhar Initiative 2026 is set to be introduced by the School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh. The state government has crafted a strategy that combines the National Education Policy with the Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh vision. By consolidating earlier programs, the MP school education department has opted to launch the Prakhar project across 10,000 designated government schools.
MP Prakhar Initiative 2026
Under this new Prakhar program, students will gain access to life skill modules, including vocational training and English language proficiency. These lessons will be conducted in the 10,000 schools previously identified throughout Madhya Pradesh.
Inter-departmental Collaboration in Prakhar Scheme
For the Prakhar project, the education department is partnering with the technical education, skill development, and women and child development sectors. These departments will assist in drafting and executing specialized skill modules. This marks a unique initiative where multiple government branches are working in tandem with the school education wing.
Vocational Training for Students
The technical education department is set to develop coursework aimed at increasing student interest in engineering and technical fields. This curriculum will better prepare learners for advanced technical studies. Various skill-based courses have been structured for rollout starting from the 2022 academic year.
The Madhya Pradesh government is also planning to establish dedicated English-medium sections within these selected schools. Officials believe that these sections will help students improve their English communication skills, thereby enhancing their long-term career prospects.
Integrating Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh Goals
By incorporating the objectives of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, the curriculum will now feature critical thinking modules covering topics like artificial intelligence, design thinking, and coding. Schools will undergo performance-based assessments, and institutions rated as "poor" will be paired with mentor schools to facilitate growth and improvement.
Digital Learning Management System
The education department is introducing an IT-driven learning management system as part of the Prakhar initiative. Student progress will be assessed through an independent, tech-based evaluation framework. This digital system will cover students from grades 1 to 12, with a primary implementation deadline set for March 2022.
Per the Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh roadmap, this digital platform will be active across all 10,000 schools by August 2022. Furthermore, resources from larger, more equipped schools will be shared with smaller ones. The strategy also includes provisions for establishing new schools and recruiting teachers based on specific institutional needs.
