The Vadil Sukhakari Yojana 2026 has been introduced by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation as a dedicated medical outreach program for older adults. Under this initiative, teams comprising doctors and paramedics conduct home visits to assist elderly residents, specifically those managing chronic health conditions. This guide provides comprehensive details regarding the Vadil Sukhakari scheme.
Vadil Sukhakari Yojana 2026
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) launched the Vadil Sukhakari Yojana to extend healthcare support to elderly citizens. Through this program, teams of three paramedical staff visit seniors at their homes. Beyond general health screenings, these teams provide immunity-boosting kits, which include the following:
- Vitamin C tablets
- Zinc supplements
- Samsamani Vati
In addition to these, other necessary medications required for the well-being of senior citizens are also distributed.
Who Can Benefit from Vadil Sukhakari Yojana
The AMC has organized approximately 100 medical teams to reach around 2,000 senior citizens daily. Seniors with underlying health issues receive a check-up every 15 days. The scheme ensures regular visits from medical professionals to monitor various health parameters, including:
- Diabetes management
- Hypertension monitoring
- Heart rate tracking
- Blood pressure levels
- Oxygen saturation
- Kidney health
- Age-related medical conditions
Elderly individuals facing co-morbidities receive priority care and attention. These essential immunity-support packages are provided to them entirely free of charge.

Senior Citizen Health Data Management
To manage this project effectively, the AMC developed specialized software to track the medical records of elderly participants. Through a comprehensive household survey, the corporation identified 30,000 seniors with chronic health issues. This survey covered 21 wards with higher infection risks, including areas such as Jodhpur, Bopal, Chandkheda, Maninagar, and Isanpur.
The Vadil Sukhakari Yojana stands as a pioneering national project for improving elderly healthcare. It builds on the success of prior AMC initiatives, such as the Dhanvantari Rath, the 104 health helpline, Sanjivani yojana, the Doctor Mitra program, and the Corona Santavana mission.
