Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana in Bihar Budget 2023-24
The Finance Minister presented the Bihar Budget 2023-24 on February 28, 2023. During the speech, the FM stated: "Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, BPL families or those with an annual income below 60,000 INR receive financial assistance of 5,000 INR through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) at the time of the daughter's marriage. This scheme aims to provide financial support to poor families, encourage marriage registration, and curb domestic violence and child marriage. An allocation of 100.43 crore INR has been made for the 2023-24 fiscal year."
