Bihar Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana 2026: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has introduced the Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana (MVSKSY) in Bihar, specifically for citizens belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Under this initiative, the state government offers a financial grant of Rs. 60,000 to help beneficiaries purchase land for building their homes. Once the land is acquired, these individuals can also qualify for an additional Rs. 1.2 lakh in funding to construct a house through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) program.

The Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana and the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana serve as two primary initiatives by the Bihar government to fulfill the "Housing for All" objective. Both programs were established to support underprivileged families and were initially announced on August 15, 2018. Furthermore, the state government has waived all registration fees for land purchased under this scheme for home construction purposes.

Overview of Bihar Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana (MVSKSY)

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) provides Rs. 1,20,000 in financial support to rural residents for building new houses. However, many families from SC, ST, and OBC groups lack the land required to build their homes, which prevents them from accessing PMAY-G benefits. The government has identified these eligible beneficiaries using the 2011 Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) data. Consequently, the state government now provides additional support for land acquisition through this scheme.

Financial Aid under Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana

The state government offers a grant of Rs. 60,000 to eligible SC/ST/OBC applicants to help them buy land. This assistance ensures they become eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, helping them achieve their goal of homeownership. Additionally, the government ensures no registration costs are levied on these specific land transactions.

The Rural Development Department aims to assist approximately 22,000 beneficiaries over the coming five months through the Mukhymantri Vaas Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana.
